Thai striking dynamo Sinsamut Klinmee is ready to secure a bounce-back win against Youssef Assouik at ONE Friday Fights 25 the best way he knows how — with a knockout.
The Venum Training Camp athlete heads into the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, off a disappointing stoppage loss to Russian slugger Dmitry Menshikov. But as he had done in the past, the Pattaya native is fired up to prove that it was nothing but a mere setback in his journey to greatness.
In an interview with ONE Championship, Sinsamut bared his prediction for his lightweight Muay Thai duel alongside the Danish-Moroccan striker on Oct. 4. He said:
"I think I will finish him in round two because I like to accelerate in the second round."

Before he puts his opposite number to sleep, though, the lifelong martial artist expects to be tested to the fullest against the debuting superstar.
Assouik's all-around stand-up skills took him to the top of the charts within the European kickboxing and Muay Thai scene. He has three world titles — two in separate divisions in ISKA and a WMC world champion — to back his hype.
Based on what he's seen from his dance partner, the Thai warrior concluded:
"I think it is going to be back and forth [fight] because we both have aggressive styles."
Sinsamut will have plenty to rely on in must-win tie against Assouik
Sinsamut may only have positive takeaways from watching some of Youssef Assouik's past performances. Still, he should have enough within his arsenal to see off the debutant.
His key to victory will be largely determined by his ability to shut down his opponent's attacks from proximity. Despite giving away almost 10 centimeters in reach, the former ONE world title challenger works brilliantly in the pocket with hooks, knees, and, elbows.
If he can corner him there, the Venum Training Camp star can control the tempo of the flow, bait Assouik into the pocket, and connect with his truck-like fists to seal the deal.
