Thai star Sinsamut Klinmee is ready to put on a show when he returns to the ring for a showdown with Russian standout Dmitry Menshikov.
Stepping back inside the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, two-time ONE world title challenger Sinsamut will seek his third straight win after scoring back-to-back victories over Victor Teixeira and Mouhcine Chafi.
Standing his way will be Menshikov, a tough-as-nails Russian fighter who is riding his own two-fight win streak into the highly anticipated clash at ONE Fight Night 22 on Prime Video on May 3.
Speaking with Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Sinsamut promised ONE Championship fans an explosive matchup between the two contenders — one that may very well end early. He said:
"The only thing I can say right now is it’ll be an exciting, explosive match. It may not go the distance, but who knows? I’ll do my best as always."
Overall, Sinsamut Klinmee is 4-2 under the ONE Championship banner with both of his losses coming against former two-sport king and reigning ONE lightweight Muay Thai world champion Regian Eersel.
Dmitry Menshikov confident he has every advantage against Sinsamut Klinmee
Like Sinsamut, Dmitry Menshikov's only loss inside the Circle has come against Regian Eersel. Aside from that lone setback in his promotional debut, Menshikov has looked nothing short of spectacular, earning highlight-reel-worthy knockouts against Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong at ONE Fight Night 14 followed by a sub-two-minute finish of Mouhcine Chafi.
"He has absolutely no advantages over me," Menshikov said of Sinsamut while speaking with ONE.
