In what will likely be one of the most intriguing world title matches at ONE on Prime Video 3, Thailand’s newest rising star Sinsamut Klinmee guarantees that fans are in for a real surprise.
Signed to ONE Championship recently this year, Klinmee is now fighting for the inaugural ONE lightweight Muay Thai world title at Axiata Arena in Malaysia on October 21. How he got to the top so fast in a brief amount of time proves that ‘Aquaman’ is on a whole other level.
Also fighting for the belt opposite Sinsamut is ONE lightweight kickboxing world champion Regian ‘The Immortal’ Eersel, who holds a successful Muay Thai and kickboxing record of 58 wins and 26 KOs. Despite his rival having an impressive record in two disciplines, the Thai native isn’t intimidated by the numbers.
Confident that he’s got Eersel figured out, Sinsamut Klinmee reminded fans that the Dutch kickboxer is only human after all. At the ONE on Prime Video 3 Viritual Press conference, he said:

“I see the weaknesses [in Regian Eersel], but I don’t want to tell anyone. But during the fight, everyone will see what happens.”
Sinsamut Klinmee is one of the most exciting fighters to arrive at ONE Championship. He’s a pressure oriented fighter who loves to diversify his striking between kicks, straight punches and deadly uppercuts. With two back-to-back knockouts within a four-month period, you can bet this world title fight against Regian Eersel won’t be going the full distance.
Sinsamut Klinmee learned Muay Thai from the best of the best
Sinsamut Klinmee got started in Muay Thai after watching the best of the best train from his own backyard in Pattaya, Thailand.
As Sinsamut retells the story, it wasn’t by chance how he got into fighting. Watching his close relatives go to the gym every day to train inspired him to pursue a life in combat sports early on.
He told ONE Championship:
“When I was a child, every morning I would see the gym members return from their running. I watched them train every morning. When I came back from school, I still saw them training.”
What eventually drove him to pursue Muay Thai professionally, however, stemmed from a close bond with his older brother, Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee. According to Sinsamut, without his brother’s support, he wouldn’t even have had a career in Muay Thai that reached the heights he is experiencing now.
With 80 wins under his belt, ‘Aquaman’ is ready for his biggest test yet.
