Sinsamut Klinmee, just like any other professional fighter, always has his eyes on the gold, but he isn't overlooking his immediate responsibilities.
The former contender for the ONE lightweight Muay Thai world title will face off against the debuting Youssef Assouik at ONE Fight Night 25 this Friday, US primetime, at the historic Lumpinee Stadium.
In an interview with ONE Championship, Sinsamut said he's still determined to return to world title contention, but his fight against Assouik is his top priority.
Sinsamut Klinmee stressed that he'll think about challenging for ONE Championship gold when he takes care of his impending matchup against the former ISKA and WMC world champion.

He said:
"Now, I’m just focused on an upcoming fight. The title shot is a matter for the future. I need to give it my all in this fight."
Sinsamut had a crack at becoming the inaugural ONE lightweight Muay Thai world champion when he faced Regian Eersel, who at the time held the ONE lightweight kickboxing world title, at ONE on Prime Video 3.
Eersel, however, took those honors when he overcame Sinsamut via split decision. The pair ran it back at ONE Friday Fights 9, but Eersel silenced the critics when he stopped Sinsamut with a surgical hook to the body to retain the gold.
Nevertheless, Sinsamut is determined to return to the title picture and believes a win over Assouik would jump-start his journey.
ONE Fight Night 25, just like all of ONE Championship's Amazon cards, is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.

In the same interview with ONE Championship, Sinsamut said he wants to beat Assouik in the most entertaining and crowd-pleasing way possible.
"It's very important, but I won't put too much pressure on myself...I haven't thought about getting a bonus for this fight yet. I just want to win with style first."
