Eddie Hearn is taking Jake Paul to court over bribery allegations
Jake Paul is facing legal action from promoter Eddie Hearn. The British boxing promoter is suing 'The Problem Child' over some allegations he leveled against the promoter. It all started when Katie Taylor, then promoted by Hearn, defeated Amanda Serrano, who was affiliated with Paul's Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) when the fight happened. The 27-year-old accused Taylor's promoter of bribing Glen Feldman, one of the judges officiating the match, to favor 'The Giant Slayer.'
Hearn is not letting the accusations slide, as he appears to be suing Paul over the bribery allegations. 'The Problem Child' is now ordered to appear in court on Oct. 16. Following the court order, the Matchroom boxing promoter spoke with Boxing King media and said this:
"The reports came out today because it was documented in court that he tried to get the case dismissed and it was ruled against him. It proceeds on October 16th, it's an unfortunate position to be in. But it's not something that I'm prepared to let slide. What he said was unacceptable and detrimental to my reputation and our business. It has to be dealt with."
