One of the super fights that could be made in 2025 is a matchup between middleweight standout Bo Nickal and No. 3 contender Khamzat Chimaev. A UFC insider has now championed that bout coming to fruition.
The 28-year-old Colorado native, who was decorated collegiate wrestler, has a professional MMA record of 7-0 and a UFC record of 4-0.
'Borz,' on the other hand, has a professional MMA record of 14-0. He won his last bout against former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker at UFC 308 by submission in round one.
The Chechen phenom started wrestling at a very young age and won a bronze medal at the Russian National Championships junior. He is also a three-time Swedish national king in freestyle wrestling and is considered one of the most dangerous and efficient grapplers in the promotion.

While Nickal and Chimaev are on the opposite end of the rankings, they are both unbeaten middleweights with good wrestling and grappling prowess. With that, a matchup between the two could come to fruition shortly.
Weighing in on that, Chael Sonnen stated in a recent interview with Nickal himself:
"Bo Nickal’s next fight will reignite the conversation of Bo Nickal vs Cosmic Chimaev. There is nothing I enjoy speaking about more than what would happen more with Bo and Chimaev, and I just don’t wanna talk about the fight or three rounds vs. five rounds."
Sonnen added:
"I want that specific takedown who’s going to go for it? Who is going to get the other one there? Are they going for a double egg is it going to be over under? I like that entire argument... Everything about Bo vs. Chimaev is exciting to me. Somebody’s 0 has got to go."

Bo Nickal analyzes a potential matchup with Khamzat Chimaev
Bo Nickal recently claimed to his viewers on YouTube that there is no 185-pounder than he couldn't beat him in wrestling at the moment.
Commenting on talk of a showdown with Chimaev, he said:
"I don’t think there’s really a guy in the world at 86 kilos that can beat me in wrestling. I think that he’s [Chimaev] good, he’s got skills, but his biggest thing that’s going to crush him, especially in a fight against me is, dude, you’re going to get tired."
