Rodtang labels Superbon as "someone you can't take for granted."
On January 24, a legendary matchup will take place in the ONE 170 main event. Featherweight Muay Thai king Tawanchai is scheduled to defend his world title in a must-see rematch against former kickboxing world champion Superbon.
Many fighters have weighed in on their opinions for Tawanchai vs. Superbon 2. When it comes to Muay Thai megastar Rodtang, he had this to say about the title challenger during an interview with ONE.
“Superbon is better in terms of twisting the prompt situations. He has more experience in adapting his skills. Superbon’s someone you can’t take for granted."

Superbon and Tawanchai first fought in December 2023, with the latter winning by unanimous decision in an instant classic. Since then, Superbone returned to Muay Thai and defeated Jo Nattawut by first-round knockout, earning him a second chance to dethrone Tawanchai of the ONE featherweight world title.
Meanwhile, Tawanchai has fought once since defeating Superbon, a unanimous decision win against Jo Nattawut in June 2024.

Tawanchai vs. Superbon 2 isn't the only world title fight going down at ONE 170.
In the co-main event, Fabricio Andrade returns to defend his bantamweight MMA world title following an extended layoff. The Brazilian superstar last fought in November 2023, losing a kickboxing world title fight against Jonathan Haggerty.
Andrade now looks to extend his undefeated promotional MMA record. The 27-year-old's upcoming challenge is a rematch against Kwon Won Il, who's riding a three-fight winning streak, all knockouts, since losing against Andrade in June 2022.
Earlier in the night, Nico Carrillo and Nabil Anane will battle for the interim bantamweight Muay Thai world title. Carrillo was initially supposed to challenge Superlek for undisputed gold before the champion pulled out due to an injury.
