Anatoly Malykhin has always been a champion inside and outside the cage, and Jarred Brooks further attested to the Russian big man's incredible character.

Taking to his Instagram stories, the ONE interim strawweight MMA world champion revealed that Malykhin was there to support him after he lost to Reece McLaren at ONE Fight Night 26.

Brooks said Malykhin voluntarily talked to him after the fight, a gesture that showed the sheer heart the reigning ONE middleweight and light heavyweight MMA world champion has.

"Is the realest, he literally was the only person there for me after my fight, speaks volumes on his character as a man and a father as well! What a fooking killer too, you will be back," wrote Jarred Brooks.

Malykhin was in attendance at ONE Fight Night 26 as the card's special guest for the customary fan meet before the start of the show at Lumpinee Stadium.

He ultimately decided to stay for the event where he saw Brooks drop a heartbreaking split decision loss to McLaren in their flyweight MMA matchup.

This wasn't the first time Malykhin had decided to talk to fighters in the locker room following a defeat.

Malykhin was warming up for his ONE middleweight MMA world title match against Reinier de Ridder at ONE 166: Qatar when he consoled a distraught Jeremy Miado following the Filipino star's loss to Keito Yamakita in the card's opener.

Jarred Brooks thankful to support his family with his MMA career

One's profession doesn't often coincide with one's passion, but Jarred Brooks has that privilege.

The ONE interim strawweight MMA world champion is glad that he gets to support his family through his stellar run in mixed martial arts.

Fighting professionally since 2014, Brooks started his career in the American regional scene before moving on to the UFC and eventually to ONE Championship.

Brooks said in an interview with the MMA Superfan:

"Oh, it's great, man. I love hanging out with my daughter and watching her grow every day. She's funny, she's charismatic, everything. She just looks at everything, and she's so in-depth. So I thank God every day for having a healthy child, and you know, being able to do what I do still. Thank God for my family and my wife."
