Chinese striking sensation Zhang Peimian will face his toughest test to date when he meets Thai legend Sam-A Gaiayanghadao.

Alternating wins and losses in his last four fights, 'Fighting Rooster' will look to make it two wins in a row on Friday, Nov. 8 when he meets Sam-A as part of a loaded ONE 169 card inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Though six fights under the ONE Championship banner, Zhang has proven himself to be one of the most exciting strikers on the roster.

But the question is, will his unique ability be enough to best one of the most experienced scrappers in Muay Thai history?

“Spin to win 🤩 Will Zhang Peimian’s skills be enough to conquer Sam-A in their kickboxing fight at ONE 169?”

ONE Championship fans lit up the comments section on Instagram, marveling at Zhang's unique striking display in the above clip.

"That kick was majestic."

Zhang Peimian faces one of the most decorated fighters in Muay Thai history at ONE 169

After coming up short against former ONE world champion Jonathan Di Bella at ONE 162, 'Fighting Rooster' has won two of his last three, including decisive decision victories over Torepchi Dongak and Aliff Sor Dechapan. If he can earn a win over Sam-A at ONE 169, he will almost assuredly push himself back into title contention.

Of course, defeating the 41-year-old icon is no easy task.

Sam-A has an incredible 374 wins to his credit, eight of them coming under the ONE Championship banner. He is a three-time Lumpinee Stadium champion and has held the ONE strawweight and flyweight Muay Thai world championships.

He's also a former ONE strawweight kickboxing world titleholder and was named Lumpinee Stadium's Fighter of the Year in 2011.

Will Sam-A once again show the world why he is one of the greatest strikers in the history of the sport, or will Zhang Peimian use the Thai legend as a stepping stone to a potential title opportunity?

Fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE 169: Malykhin vs. ‘Reug Reug’ live on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, Nov. 8 in U.S. primetime.
