Nico Carrillo recently shared what he'd do with the $50,000 bonus bounty he received last Friday.
'King of the North' collected some extra dough after his sensational TKO victory over Saemapetch Fairtex in the penultimate match of ONE Fight Night 23 last weekend at Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium.
Following another highlight-reel finish on the grand stage, Carrillo was once again rewarded handsomely. While the Scottish brawler revealed he's not motivated by money, it's still a great feeling to have his hard work recognized.
The first-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender said during his post-event interview:

"Yeah, I'm over the moon to get the bonus, and I'm motivated by my goals. But obviously, when you're good at something I believe that you should get paid for it as well. So I'm very happy about that."
Moreover, Nico Carrillo shared where he'll put his money to good use. Instead of buying some lavish and extravagant for himself, the 25-year-old wisely said he'd save it up for a rainy day. He said:
"What I'm going to use for it, honestly, I just really like that sat in a bank. I'm trying to save my money, stack it up."
'King of the North' certainly deserves to do whatever he pleases with the spoils of his victory.

Nico Carrillo glad to keep spot as No.1 contender
While bonus money is always great, Nico Carrillo is prouder for defending his no.1 ranking in the stacked 145-pound Muay Thai division.
Moreover, that dynamite finish of Saemapetch was his fourth win via stoppage in as many fights in the home of martial arts.
Post-match, the Deachkalek Muay Thai Academy affiliate says that victory is a testament to his status among the elite.
"I was in a position to lose it. Fighters fight, I'm a fighter, and I just came out to confirm it. I'm a fighter. Four backflips, four knockouts."
