At ONE Fight Night 6, Stamp Fairtex faced a change of opponent on just one day's notice. She was originally scheduled to face Anissa Meksen in a mixed-rules superfight, but her opponent withdrew due to family issues.
On January 13, Stamp faced ‘Supergirl’ Anna Jaroonsak in a strawweight kickboxing match that delivered a great fight for the fans in Bangkok, Thailand. In a closely contested bout, it was Stamp who got her hand raised in the split decision verdict.
Against an opponent with a clear size advantage, Stamp needed to rely on her counter-striking skills by fighting off of the back foot. It was by no means an easy task for the Thai superstar, but she still put on a show for the fans.
In a post-fight interview with SCMP MMA, Stamp Fairtex spoke about her decision to take the fight on late notice:

“It was difficult for me to agree to the fight, so I just thought that I’ll make this fun and entertaining for the people.”
She added:
“It was very difficult for me. She’s taller than me and she has the advantage in her weight as well. It was going to be very difficult for me to go up against her. I was thinking very hard last night and also the morning [of the fight].”

Stamp Fairtex accidentally kicks Mitch Chilson in the face
Stamp Fairtex has some of the most lethal kicks in ONE Championship, something that commentator Mitch Chilson found out first hand.
In a video posted on Chilson’s Instagram, he can be seen getting Stamp to demonstrate her low-to-high kick combination. Unfortunately for the commentator, the high kick landed a little too effectively, sending the former ONE athlete reeling back.
“That’s it! I need to start wearing headgear during these breakdowns.”
Stamp commented on the video clip, asking for an update on the status of Chilson’s neck following the errant kick to the head:
“😂how your neck 🙏🙏🙏🥲🥲🥲”
Chilson promptly responded, saying:
“you almost knocked me out 🤕🤣”
Fortunately, Mitch Chilson didn’t feel the full force of a Stamp Fairtex high kick, allowing him to carry out his duties as a color commentator for ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video.
The card featured a stacked line-up for ONE’s first event of the year, including the return of Thai fan favorite Stamp Fairtex, who competed in her first kickboxing bout in nearly three years.
It was Stamp’s fifth victory in her last six bouts, with the lone loss coming against MMA atomweight queen Angela Lee at the promotion’s 10-year anniversary showcase, ONE X.
