Newly crowned ONE women’s atomweight MMA world champion Stamp Fairtex is on top of the world, and is now the queen of an incredibly stacked women’s division in ONE Championship. Naturally, with the golden belt secured over her shoulders, there’s a huge target now on her back and everyone wants a piece of the new atomweight queen.
Everyone – including former Fairtex gym training partner and close friend Denice ‘The Menace’ Zamboanga.
Stamp and Denice spent a few years together training in Pattaya, where they developed a close friendship. However, with the two women’s rise through the ranks, a clash was certainly inevitable.
Zamboanga earned a world title shot previously, but surrendered it in a loss to Ham Seo Hee, whom Stamp defeated to become champion. Now, the Filipina has made it clear she is looking for a world title opportunity against her ‘BFF’ Stamp Fairtex.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Stamp heard the comments from Zamboanga, and issued a challenge to ‘The Menace.’
The 26-year-old Thai superstar said:
“Beat Ham Seo Hee first. Once she can win against Ham, we can revisit this conversation.”
To be fair, it’s hard to see anyone beating Stamp right now. The Thai firecracker is now an unprecedented three-sport ONE world titleholder, having been the former ONE atomweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion.
Stamp’s incredible performance over Ham to win the atomweight gold a few weeks ago at ONE Fight Night 14 was as explosive as it was inspirational. Ham had never been stopped prior to that point, and Stamp was able to make it look so easy.
Zamboanga, meanwhile, has won her last two fights in impressive fashion, with victories over highly regarded fighters Lin Heqin and Julie Mezabarba.
Could ‘the Menace’ draw Ham into a rematch for the right to face Stamp for the belt? It’s very possible.
