Stamp Fairtex confident Superbon gets the job done against Chingiz Allazov

As she prepares for her own huge fight at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video, Stamp Fairtex has given her prediction for the main event.

ONE Championship’s first event of the year will be headlined by Superbon defending his ONE featherweight kickboxing world championship against ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix winner Chingiz Allazov.

The long-anticipated clash between the two elite strikers has been on the cards ever since Allazov defeated Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in the final round of the Grand Prix at ONE X.

Scheduled and postponed several times, Superbon and Allazov will finally clash on January 13. At the same event, Stamp Fairtex will face Anissa Meksen in the promotion’s second-ever mixed-rules fight.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Stamp gave her thoughts on the world championship clash in the main event:

“I will definitely cheer for Superbon, because Superbon is really strong and smart. Plus, he will compete in Thailand, so he will be more eager and pumped up by all Thai fans shouting out in the stadium. I believe that Superbon can read opponent's movements well. He always has a good game plan in the circle. I believe that he will definitely protect the belt again this time.”

Stamp Fairtex reveals ONE Championship came to her with idea of mixed-rules fight months ago

Stamp Fairtex asked to compete in a mixed-rules contest and her wish has finally arrived.

ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video will play host to the first-ever women’s mixed rules superfight, pitting former two-sport ONE world champion Stamp Fairtex against seven-time world champion Anissa Meksen.

In an interview with ONE Championship ahead of their first event of the year, Stamp revealed that she has been asking the promotion to compete in a mixed-rules match ever since ONE X last March, the event where the first-ever matchup of this kind happened:

“The day I fought with Angela Lee was the same day Rodtang fought with Demetrious. Chatri [Sityodtong, ONE Chairman and CEO], came to talk with me, and I told him that I was willing to take part in this kind of special fight. What I asked for came true. This is a new challenge for me, and it will push me to the limit.”

At ONE’s 10th-year anniversary spectacular in March, combat sports legends Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Demetrious Johnson made history in the first bout that blended the rules of Muay Thai and MMA.

Stamp and Meksen will make their own history as the first women to do it and fans can see it all on Amazon Prime Video.
