Stamp Fairtex was happy to find out that Anna ‘Supergirl’ Jaroonsak earned a $50,000 bonus for their highly entertaining scrap at ONE Fight Night 6 in January.

Originally scheduled to compete against separate opponents in separate sports, ONE Championship was forced to call an audible after Stamp’s original opponent, Anissa Meksen, no-showed the weigh-ins for their mixed rules superfight. Fortunately, ‘Supergirl’ agreed to step into Meksen’s spot on short notice to compete with Stamp Fairtex in what turned out to be an absolute barnburner of a fight.

Stamp narrowly escaped with a split decision victory and earned a $50,000 bonus for her performance. Given the close nature of the contest and the short-notice circumstances, fans quickly lobbied ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong to give Jaroonsak a $50,000 bonus. A week later, Sityodtong did exactly that, much to the delight of both ‘Supergirl’ and her opponent.

“I said congratulations to her... I was very happy for her that she got the bonus because we were in different weight classes, we shouldn’t have been in that fight together. I’m absolutely happy for her.”

Jaroonsak was originally scheduled to compete in a rematch against the Belarusian ‘Barbie’ Ekaterina Vandaryeva.

Stamp Fairtex weighs in on high-stakes matchup between Itsuki Hirata and Ham Seo Hee

Stamp Fairtex is set to make her return to atomweight MMA at ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5 against Alyse ‘Lil Savage’ Anderson. Seeking a rematch with reigning atomweight queen Angela Lee, Stamp will have her eyes locked on this month's massive atomweight showdown between No. 2 ranked Ham Seo Hee and rising fan-favorite Itsuki Hirata.

Asked who she will be backing to walk out of the Singapore Indoor Stadium with a win at ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24, Stamp was unable to pick one over the other, admitting that she is a fan of both women:

“I don’t know, 50/50, I like both. I like both of them and they are both really great fighters, so I don’t know.”

Ham Seo Hee will attempt to score her third-straight win inside the circle, which could lead her directly to a ONE world title opportunity. For Hirata, a win would skyrocket her near the top of the atomweight rankings. That could potentially put her on a collision course with the division’s top-ranked contender Stamp Fairtex.

Both ONE Fight Night 8 and ONE Fight Night 10 will be available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.
