Stamp Fairtex doesn’t know which side she’s on in Ham Seo Hee vs. Itsuki Hirata matchup

Former two-sport ONE world champion Stamp Fairtex is excited about the matchup between fellow atomweight fighters Ham Seo Hee and Itsuki Hirata later this month. She likes the chances of both athletes.

‘Hamzzang’ and ‘Android 18’ will collide at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video on March 24 in Singapore. The two fighters are looking to pick up where they left off in their previous bouts, which they both won by unanimous decision against separate opponents.

Asked recently by SCMP MMA who she thinks will win between Ham and Hirata, Stamp Fairtex said both fighters are capable of emerging victorious and sees the outcome as a toss-up.

The former atomweight kickboxing and Muay Thai world champion said:

“I don’t know, 50/50, I like both. I like both of them and they are both really great fighters, so I don’t know.”

Ham has had two fights so far in ONE, both of which came against Filipino rival Denice Zamboanga. She won both contests, the most recent of which in March last year. Hirata, for her part, swung back to the win column in August with a dominant victory over China’s Lin Heqin.

Stamp Fairtex, meanwhile, won her last fight in January, defeating fellow Thai fighter Anna ‘Supergirl’ Jaroonsak by split decision in their kickboxing showdown. She is set to return to action at ONE’s first-ever live event in the United States in May at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video.

Interestingly, Stamp Fairtex could face Ham and Hirata down the line as they are all angling to get the world title from reigning ONE women’s atomweight world champion Angela Lee.

ONE Fight Night 8 will be aired live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

Stamp Fairtex books spot on ONE Fight Night 10 in Colorado against American Alyse Anderson

Former two-sport world champion Stamp Fairtex is headed to the United States later this year as she is set to compete as part of ONE Championship’s first-ever live event in North America. She is fulfilling a wish she always had of competing in front of American fans.

The Thai superstar will battle American fireball Alyse 'Lil’ Savage' Anderson in an atomweight mixed martial arts showdown at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video on May 5 in Colorado.

Once word got out that the promotion was doing a show in the U.S., Stamp Fairtex expressed her interest in being included on the landmark fight card.

She told ONE Championship in an interview:

“Absolutely, I really want to fight in the U.S. I went there for seminars recently and I found out that I had a lot of fans there. I hope someday I will be able to compete in front of the American fans…”

ONE Fight Night 10 will take place at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado, and will be available to all Prime Video subscribers in North America. It will be headlined by the trilogy fight between reigning ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson and former flyweight king Adriano Moraes.
