Stamp Fairtex dreams of fighting Angela Lee in a ONE Championship show in the U.S.

Stamp Fairtex desperately wants another crack at ONE atomweight queen Angela Lee and hopes to get it on American soil when the time comes.

Ever since she came up short in her long MMA world title bid at ONE X in March, Stamp has been chomping at the bit to get another shot at Angela Lee’s 26.4 pounds of gold. In an interview with ONE Championship, Stamp shared her ideal situation for a rematch with Lee:

“Absolutely, I really want to fight in the U.S. I went there for seminars recently and I found out that I had a lot of fans there. I hope someday I will be able to compete in front of the American fans. And, of course, my ideal opponent must be Angela Lee. That would be a big fight.”

Starting her career in ONE Championship, Stamp Fairtex made history by becoming the promotion’s first two-sport world champion, capturing the ONE atomweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world titles in her first two appearances. It didn’t take long for Stamp to try her hand at mixed martial arts.

Climbing her way to an impressive 9-1 record, Stamp ran through the competition in the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix, securing three straight wins and solidifying herself as the No. 1 contender to Angela Lee’s crown.

“I hope that I can save enough money to build my own house. Now, I already have a blueprint, I’m just waiting for the right time. It's not good to rush. But I won’t hesitate to start, either. I will find a suitable opportunity to start a foundation of my own place.”

At just 25 years old, Stamp Fairtex’s stock continues to rise under the ONE banner. With the promotion ready to take a bite out of the North American market this May, the Thai superstar will continue to see her popularity and earnings rise.
