The 25-year-old knows the high stakes of her upcoming bout with Anissa Meksen. Stamp is eyeing another opportunity at the women's atomweight world title and defeating 'C18' goes a long way in attaining that goal.
In a recent interview with ONE, Stamp discussed the magnitude of the match, both in terms of her career and her fanbase. She stated:
“[When I got the offer], I was practicing as usual at that time. [My manager] walked up to me and said, ‘You have to fight [Meksen] in MMA and Muay Thai rules.’ And I replied, ‘Really?’ I was so excited because I know this will be one of the most important fights in my life. It will also bring me more followers.”
Fans will no doubt be intrigued to see how Stamp will fare in the opening round (Muay Thai rules) against a seasoned striker like Meksen. However, if they reach the second frame, 'C18' will be forced to enter the world of MMA with Stamp.
