Reigning and undisputed ONE women's atomweight MMA world champion Stamp Fairtex of Thailand is currently sitting on the sidelines, nursing her torn meniscus which has kept her out of action indefinitely for the past few months.
Stamp was initially scheduled to challenge ONE women's strawweight MMA world champion 'The Panda' Xiong Jing Nan at ONE 168: Denver next month, but the Thai warrior injured herself in training and had to pull out of the contest.
She then immediately had surgery, and is now on the mend. Up until a few weeks ago, Stamp was bedridden and was relearning how to walk, which indicated that she may be out longer than expected.
However, the 26-year-old has since provided an update on her condition in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA.

The reigning atomweight MMA queen said:
"My condition has been better. I can walk normally now. Occasionally, there's sharp pain. Overall, it's better though. I'm very happy I can walk without any help. I'm happy that it looks like I can go back to training soon."
Stamp can't wait to return to doing what she loves, and that's working on her craft in the gym and competing in the world's largest martial arts organization.
Given her progress, it appears the 26-year-old may find herself back on the mats soon enough.
What's next for Stamp Fairtex?
Assuming she returns to full health and back at the height of her powers, Stamp Fairtex has a couple ready challengers in the wait.
Of course, there's still the chance she could go for two-division champ-champ status and rekindle that strawweight fight against Xiong Jing Nan. But there's also the matter of defending her gold against her former training partner and close friend Denice 'The Menace' Zamboanga.
Fans all over the world await Stamp's epic comeback and can't wait for the atomweight MMA queen to return to the Circle.
Stay tuned to Sportskeeda MMA for all the latest news and updates surrounding Stamp Fairtex's next fight.
