Stamp Fairtex lists down her advantages over Anissa Meksen ahead of mixed-rules fight

ONE Championship staple Stamp Fairtex is nearing her custom-rules superfight with Anissa Meksen. The 25-year-old believes she has several distinct advantages over her upcoming foe.

The former atomweight kickboxing and Muay Thai queen is well-versed in both striking and grappling. Her MMA experience could be key in securing a victory at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video.

Stamp told the promotion:

"With my purple belt, I believe I have an advantage over her in choking and transition in MMA. And, I think I am better than her in Muay Thai clinching. I think I can finish her in the MMA round because I think I’m better than her in MMA."

Anissa Meksen enters the bout with zero competitive MMA experience, despite training in the sport for several years. 'C18' will surely look to finish Stamp on the feet in the opening round before the match switches to MMA rules in the second.

Stamp Fairtex says upcoming fight is "one of the most important" bouts of her career

Stamp Fairtex has been a part of numerous high-stakes fights throughout her career, including six world title fights under ONE's banner. However, she believes her match with Meksen is of equal importance to her title bouts.

She told ONE:

“[When I got the offer], I was practicing as usual at that time. [My manager] walked up to me and said, ‘You have to fight [Meksen] in MMA and Muay Thai rules.’ And I replied, ‘Really?’ I was so excited because I know this will be one of the most important fights in my life. It will also bring me more followers.”

The atomweight contender is one of the most popular athletes on ONE's roster. Defeating Meksen in the promotion's second-ever custom-rules bout will only add to her stardom.

She's looking to join Demetrious Johnson as the only ONE Championship fighter to hold a victory in a mixed-rules match. ONE is truly a trendsetter when it comes to these types of bouts.
