Stamp Fairtex has continued to grow and mature right before our eyes in recent years. The Thai fan favorite has had an incredibly successful career inside the circle, but the former two-division ONE world champion recognizes that she has made her fair share of mistakes on a more personal level.

Now 25 years old, Stamp Fairtex believes she has matured, learning to take her time, weigh her options in certain situations, and respond accordingly. Speaking about her evolution as a person, Stamp told ONE Championship:

“I’ve made many mistakes, but I learned to think carefully before making any action or saying anything. Before, I spent too little time thinking before making a decision on how to act or answer certain questions. And that may have affected other people adversely. Sometimes I wasn’t careful. From now on, I will have to think more and act more maturely.”

Stamp hopes those changes in her personal life will translate to another opportunity to become a three-division world champion in the future. Already conquering the worlds of Muay Thai and kickboxing, she hopes to capture 26.4 pounds of MMA gold currently held by the atomweight queen Angela Lee.

Stamp Fairtex learned a lot from her loss to Angela Lee at ONE X

Stamp Fairtex came up just short of becoming the first person in ONE history to become a three-sport world champion when she succumbed to a second-round rear-naked choke at the hands of Angela Lee in March. Despite the loss, Stamp was able to learn a valuable lesson from the encounter and feels as confident as ever in her combat sports career:

“My life has been pretty cool this year. First thing first, I had a big chance to face Angela Lee for the world title shot. Although I lost, I didn’t regret sharing the circle with her. I learned a great lesson from that fight. It was a big, good test for me."

Though Stamp has shown an interest in returning to the art of eight limbs, capturing a world championship in MMA is still a top priority for the dance-happy superstar.

Sitting as the No.1 ranked atomweight contender, Stamp could easily make the argument for a rematch, but that is simply not her style. She will do her talking inside the circle and let the promotion handle the rest.
