Submission grappling is a constantly evolving combat sport, and ONE Championship standout Dante Leon understands the importance of being open to change.
Speaking recently with Jits Magazine, the 29-year-old Canadian mentioned:
"I've done a really good job evolving. So I think that's one of the things that I have over a lot of people. I know everybody works really hard, and I know everybody competes and puts a lot of emphasis, and the public puts a lot of emphasis on the results."
He added:

"If you string together a couple of losses, it's hard to stay up in the rankings. So it's really important that you have to bounce back. In order to do that, you just have to stay up with the trends of the game. It's an ever-evolving thing."

The 29-year-old's success eventually caught the eye of ONE's brass, which led to his promotional debut this past December, where he submitted two-time IBJJF No-Gi World Championship gold medalist Bruno Pucci in just two minutes.
