Filipino bantamweight contender Stephen Loman caught the recent world championship encounter between Fabricio ‘Wonder Boy’ Andrade and John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker. He came away impressed and entertained with how it went down.
The two top Brazilian fighters finally gave their world championship mix-up a conclusive ending in their rematch at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video on February 24 in Bangkok. Andrade emerged as the new ONE bantamweight world champion a few months after they fought to a no contest in October 2022.
Speaking to The MMA Superfan, Stephen Loman said the Andrade-Lineker rematch exceeded his expectations. For that, he gave props to the protagonists for putting on a great show.

“I was surprised that the fight went back and forth because the first fight seemed like there was still some sort of feeling-out process. But this rematch, wow! They really let it all out and they really wanted to knock each other out. That’s why I was so surprised because you can really feel the intensity of the world title fight.”

Stephen Loman was last in action in November, defeating former ONE bantamweight world champion Bibiano 'The Flash' Fernandes by unanimous decision at ONE on Prime Video 4.

“Yes, I want to try and fight in the U.S. That would be exciting, I want to go there someday.”
He added:
“If they give me the chance, like they’ll give me a world title shot after the fight between Fabricio and Lineker, and it’s in the U.S. Wow. That’s a first world country, a superpower. I’ll be extremely happy and excited. What’s important is that I can bring my skill to the fight, and win.”
