Second-ranked ONE Championship bantamweight MMA contender 'The Sniper' Stephen Loman of the Philippines is excited to see old foe John Lineker back in action in just a couple of weeks.

However, the veteran Brazilian fighter isn't scheduled for an MMA fight, much to the surprise of many. Instead, Lineker will be making his Muay Thai debut in ONE, which Loman is really pumped for.

Lineker, of course, is known for his devastating knockout power, hence his nickname 'Hands of Stone'. But Loman believes his former adversary's offensive arsenal is far more diverse than just the heavy hands that he throws.

In a recent interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Loman said he believes Lineker has the perfect chance to showcase his full repertoire.

'The Sniper' said:

"Because in Muay Thai you really have to use your kicks, elbows, and knees. So I think he’ll use more of his kicks this time around, and of course he already has his boxing, hooks, body shots. He’ll mix things up, and I think he’ll try to use his kicks more."

Loman fought at ONE Fight Night 14 on Prime Video back in September 2023. A victory over the Brazilian would have earned him a shot at the bantamweight MMA world title.

Unfortunately, Loman's lackluster performance resulted in a unanimous decision loss to 'Hands of Stone'. Nevertheless, 'The Sniper' is looking to earn a rematch against the former champion sometime in the future.
