Third-ranked ONE bantamweight contender Stephen Loman holds Fabricio Andrade in high regard.
Ahead of ‘Wonder Boy’s much-awaited rematch with John Lineker at ONE Fight Night 7, ‘The Sniper’ acknowledged the No.1-ranked 145-pound fighter in the promotion as a formidable opponent of the highest caliber.
Stephen Loman even sent a stern warning to Lineker in his do-over with Andrade this Friday, February 24, inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Team Lakay standout told ONE Championship in an exclusive interview:
“I respect Fabricio Andrade as a fighter. He is an opponent you really have to prepare for and take seriously. He has the ability to end fights very quickly and I think John Lineker will have his hands full.”
The bantamweight throne remains vacant in the meantime, as Andrade and Lineker will settle the score between them to see who gets the prestigious golden strap.
Loman patiently awaits the victor of the match, knowing he might just be the next guy in line for a world title shot. While the Filipino star is prepared to challenge either of them, he believes Andrade still has the upper hand in his second battle with his fellow Brazilian.
The 25-year-old, after all, nearly handed ‘Hands of Stone’ the first knockout loss of his career at ONE on Prime Video 3 last year. If not for the unintentional knee to Lineker’s groin, Loman is convinced he would have already been fighting Andrade for the bantamweight world title right now.
Stephen Loman has already decimated another feared Brazilian opponent in his last outing. ‘The Sniper’ recorded the biggest win of his career via a three-round domination of one of the longest-reigning world champions in the promotion, Bibiano Fernandes.
Meanwhile, the rematch of the century between Lineker and Andrade, along with the other scheduled fights at ONE Fight Night 7, will stream for free for Amazon Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
Stephen Loman will formulate a gameplan for Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker by watching ONE Fight Night 7
Aside from continuing to hone his skills inside the gym, Stephen Loman will also do his homework by keeping a close eye on John Lineker and Fabricio Andrade’s upcoming match.
‘The Sniper’ already took notes of the two top guys in his division back in their first encounter last year, which resulted in a controversial no contest.
While the rematch delayed his own world title shot, Loman looks at this as another opportunity to familiarize himself with his possible future opponents.
He told ONE Championship in the same interview:
“I will definitely be watching this fight closely. These are two potential opponents who I know I will face down the road. I think I will learn a lot from watching this fight.”
