According to ‘The Sniper’ Stephen Loman, members at the Team Lakay gym in Baguio City are in a frenzy getting ready for their upcoming matches.
On Saturday, December 3, five Team Lakay members will fight on the stacked ONE 164 card in their hometown of Manila, Philippines. The list includes reigning ONE strawweight world champion Joshua Pacio, No.4-ranked flyweight Danny Kingad, bantamweights Geje Eustaquio and Jeremy Pacatiw, and 25-year-old women's atomweight Jenelyn Olsim.
Training alongside a group of talented athletes such as the ones mentioned above is an opportunity that Stephen Loman doesn’t take for granted.

Having the best sparring partners he could ever ask for, Loman knows he can count on their experience to prepare him for his own career-defining match against Bibiano Fernandes at ONE on Prime Video 4.
Speaking to The MMA Super-Fan, ‘The Sniper’ said:
“The gym’s incredibly busy right now. Almost everyone has a fight coming up and we’re all pushing each other to become fighters. We don’t just train, but we also exchange ideas with each other and study our opponents."
He added:
"We watch our opponents’ previous matches and see what their strengths and weaknesses are. After watching tape, then we train and simulate fights. We’ll see how to counteract our opponents’ specialties, if you will, so that we’ll be prepared for whatever they throw at us.”

Riding a two-fight winning run in ONE Championship, Stephen Loman only needs one more victory to qualify for a bantamweight world title opportunity. With that being said, ‘The Sniper’ won’t be pulling back the punches when he meets legendary rival Bibiano Fernandes come fight night on Friday, November 18.
Team Lakay’s Jeremy Pacatiw warns Stephen Loman to be careful of Bibiano Fernandes’ grappling
ONE bantamweight and Team Lakay stablemate Jeremy Pacatiw believes Stephen Loman has a strong ground game but also warns him to respect Bibiano Fernandes’ grappling.
‘The Juggernaut’ Jeremy Pacatiw is headed towards his third fight in ONE Championship against Myanmar’s Tial Thang. Although he’s just starting out, his goal is to make it into the top five of the stacked bantamweight division.
In regards to Stephen Loman, Pacatiw knows first-hand that ‘The Sniper’ is comfortable fighting in both areas, on the feet and on the ground. However, Fernandes also has great control, which is something Loman should look out for.
‘The Juggernaut’ told The MMA Super-Fan:
“I believe that Stephen can grapple with Bibiano if they will go to the mat or to the ground. But he must be careful because you know, we watch this fight of Bibiano, he’s also a good grappler.”
