‘The Sniper’ Stephen Loman was left stunned by Chingiz Allazov’s second-round knockout of kickboxing superstar Superbon Singha Mawynn earlier this month.
Allazov scored the biggest win of his combat sports career, defeating the No. 1 pound-for-pound kickboxer in the world and capturing the ONE featherweight kickboxing world championship in the process. Loman shared his thoughts on the jaw-dropping finish in a recent interview with The MMA Superfan:
“That was a really shocking result. I was surprised how Chingiz Allazov knocked out Superbon. I didn’t know he had that kind of power, to be honest. It was really exceptional. But it is what it is. We just witnessed how strong Allazov really is. He had the better boxing game, and he was able to catch Superbon during the fight.”
Stephen Loman will hope to join Chingiz Allazov among the ranks of ONE world champion later this year as ‘The Sniper’ is likely the next man up for a crack at the promotion’s bantamweight world title.

Currently, the division is without a world champion, but that will be remedied on February 24 when former titleholder John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker headlines ONE Fight Night 7 with No. 1 ranked contender Fabricio Andrade. The event is live and free in North America via Prime Video.
Fabricio Andrade was far from impressed with Stephen Loman’s biggest career win
In November, Stephen Loman scored the biggest win of his mixed martial arts career, securing a unanimous decision against ONE Championship icon Bibiano Fernandes. The victory likely secured his spot as the next man up for a bantamweight world title shot, but the division’s No. 1 ranked contender was far from impressed with Loman’s performance.
In an interview with ONE Championship, Fabricio Andrade called Loman’s performance “boring” but acknowledged that ‘The Sniper’ will be the next challenger for the bantamweight crown:
“It was a boring fight, but Loman showed that he is the next challenger for the belt. But just like Lineker, he didn't impress me because he beat a guy who is at the end of his career, who is almost retiring. It wasn't impressive at all, but he's the next challenger for the belt.”
Boring or not, Loman’s performance likely secured his spot at the head of the line. At this point, the Team Lakay standout just needs to wait for Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker to settle some business at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, in the main event next month.
