Filipino contender Stephen Loman knows a thing or two about power. With that, he knows that bantamweight contender John Lineker packs a big punch in his hooks.
Lineker dons the nickname 'Hands of Stone' for a reason. The former ONE bantamweight champion owns three knockout finishes inside the circle, in addition to six TKO victories under the UFC banner.
No. 3-ranked bantamweight contender Stephen Loman discussed the power that Lineker has in his hooks in an interview with The MMA Superfan, stating:
"If you get hit with even just one of those hooks, like a really good and crisp one to the jaw, then you’re in trouble. That’s one of the hardest shots to take. You have to hope that when you get hit, you won’t get too dizzy and can quickly recover."

'The Sniper' continued:
"Lineker always gets behind his hooks and he can put them into his combinations easily. He really uses his skills as a boxer during his fights."
Lineker is slated to square off with Fabricio Andrade in the main event of ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video for the vacant bantamweight world title.
Stephen Loman says wrestling will be the key to John Lineker's success
It was clear in their first matchup that Fabricio Andrade had the striking advantage over John Lineker. Stephen Loman believes 'Hands of Stone' needs to wrestle in order to set up his power strikes.
He told The MMA Superfan:
“Lineker will use his wrestling again. That’s the way I see him taking the fight. He’ll use his wrestling and try to connect with those looping shots. I think that if Andrade uses his footwork to keep distance, Lineker will need to turn up the pressure so he can get within range to throw those hooks.”
John Lineker failed to make weight the first time around, resulting in him being stripped of the belt. The title remains vacant after an accidental groin strike from Andrade caused a no contest.
Be sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24 to watch the highly anticipated bantamweight title rematch between John Lineker and Fabricio Andrade, live from Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
