Stephen Thompson previews his upcoming fight with Kevin Holland
Stephen Thompson will take on Kevin Holland in the main event of this weekend's UFC on ESPN 42 card, in a fan-favorite fight. 'Wonderboy' is currently ranked No.6 in the UFC welterweight division, whereas his opponent is not in the top 15.
Thompson has also faced a tougher set of opponents than Holland, despite 'Trailblazer' having nine more MMA bouts.
The difference in rankings as well as high-level experience does not mean that 'Wonderboy' is underestimating his opponent in the slightest.
Thompson recently spoke to Submission Radio and previewed his upcoming fight. 'Wonderboy' was complimentary of Kevin Holland's skills and stated that he expects a tough fight:
"This is the kind of fight that excites me, 'cause this guy is good everywhere. He has a lot of submissions... great D'arces, anaconda chokes and guillotines... He wants to knock guys out and that's what is gonna make this fight so exciting... To go out there and navigate around that is gonna be difficult."
