Following his retirement from combat sports, Stipe Miocic's role as Cleveland Browns' Dawg Pound Captain has captured the attention of MMA fans worldwide. Many shared their reactions, expressing their admiration for Miocic.
For context, a Dawg Pound Captain is someone who gets the crowd excited before a Cleveland Browns game begins. This time, before the Browns' NFL game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Miocic, a native of Ohio, was given the chance to take on the role of Dawg Pound Captain. The former UFC heavyweight champion donned a pair of jeans and a gold-themed chain around his neck, and we went on to smash a Chiefs-themed guitar prior to the kickoff.
The clip was shared by an X user named @CSTodayNews, which was reposted by MMA journalist Ariel Helwani, who was happy for Miocic, writing:
''Retirement life seems to be treating Stipe just fine''

When a doctor explained what caused Stipe Miocic's defeat against Jon Jones
Stipe Miocic's octagon return at UFC 309 didn't go according to plan, as Jon Jones landed a spinning back kick to the body in the third round, dropping Miocic to the ground, and Jones was declared the winner via TKO after some ground-and-pound strikes.
In his X post, Dr. David Abbasi, who frequently covers UFC fighters' injuries, claimed that Jones' devastating kick shut off Miocic's nerve system.
''So we're talking about the organs like the spleen and the guts... If you are able to dig in and activate it even on the spleen, you'll activate that parasympathetic nervous system, dropping the heart rate, dropping the blood pressure, and decreasing the oxygen. Fighter has to go down and continue to get the blood flow to the brain and not only that, but the pain must have been horrible.''
