Jamahal Hill recently reiterated that the controversy surrounding the low blow was a decisive factor in his knockout defeat to Alex Pereira at UFC 300. 'Poatan' swiftly defeated Hill in the first round of their light heavyweight title bout this past April.

The fight's climax came shortly after Hill landed a low blow on Pereira, prompting referee Herb Dean to briefly intervene to assess the situation.

However, Pereira waved off any pause and chose to continue the fight. Moments later, the reigning champion dropped Hill with his signature left hook and finished him with relentless ground and pound.

'Sweet Dreams' has been outspoken about his loss, suggesting that if Dean had intervened to separate the fighters after the controversial strike, the outcome might have been different.

Hill recently shared a lengthy video on his YouTube channel in response to Demetrious Johnson's analysis of his loss to Pereira at UFC 300. In the video, the American offered his perspective on various aspects of the fight, arguing that he was executing his game plan effectively until Pereira's decisive punch landed.

Hill's main focus was on the final moments of the fight, where he claimed that the disputed kick landed on Pereira's hip, not as a low blow as initially perceived in replays. 'Sweet Dreams' voiced frustration, asserting that during the confusion, Pereira capitalized by rushing him and setting up the left hook that ultimately cost him the championship.

Jamahal Hill eager for Alex Pereira rematch, regardless of Jiri Prochazka fight outcome

During the same YouTube video, Jamahal Hill voiced his determination to secure a rematch with Alex Pereira in the future, irrespective of whether the reigning light heavyweight champion wins or loses his UFC 303 main event bout against former foe Jiri Prochazka this Saturday:

"Best of luck to you in your fight in this rematch with Jiri because if you lose, I don't give a f**k if they offer me a title shot. It's me and you. You win, I'm going to go starch the next guy and I'll see you soon. You lose, I see you real soon."
