A controversial MMA fighter recently hopped onto the bandwagon of dissing Jon Jones for ducking the UFC interim heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall. Jones' act of blocking the fighter on X is what lured the diss from him.
Aspinall has been calling Jones out for a title unification bout since he captured the interim heavyweight gold at UFC 295. But the undisputed heavyweight champ elected Stipe Miocic as his first title defense instead of Aspinall. Jones also managed to defend his title successfully against Miocic at UFC 309.
As per the UFC's tradition, the interim champ Aspinall should be the next in line for a shot at Jones's undisputed heavyweight title. But 'Bones' hasn't changed his neglectful stance towards Aspinall, whom he considers an undeserving rival due to his inferior resume.
Jones' rejecting attitude towards a fight against Aspinall put him on the radar of several fans, who have been criticizing him for the last few months. This is why he blocked a lot of them from his social media profiles.

An X update from Dillon Danis, revealed that he was also on the list of the individuals blocked by Jones. As a result, Danis took a jibe at the Rochester native in the caption of the update. It read:
"Grown a** man blocking me. 😂 Stop being a pu**y and fight Tom Aspinall."
Danis holds an undefeated pro-MMA record to date with two victories in as many fights of his career. He had both of his fights under Bellator MMA and won via submissions in the first round on both occasions.
UFC insider revealed that brass wouldn't provide Jon Jones with any other rival except Tom Aspinall
Jon Jones has maintained an irrevocable stance regarding rejecting Tom Aspinall's callouts for a title unification bout. Instead, he has mentioned multiple times that he wants Alex Pereira as his next rival.
But the UFC legend, Chael Sonnen, came up with a massive revelation regarding this issue in the latest episode of ESPN MMA's Good Guy/Bad Guy podcast. 'The American Gangster' mentioned that the UFC authorities won't allow Jones to have any other rival for his next fight except Aspinall. Sonnen said:
"I'll let you know what UFC stands. Jon has two choices: you fight Tom or you do not fight. There is nobody else is going to be offered. In fact, we've got a name that came off the board in terms of Alex Pereira. Dana put that to absolute rest, and when the oddsmakers put it as a 6-to-1 spread favoring Jones, that fight is gone. So, Jon can sit out and not fight, but he's not going to be in a spot where he could fight someone else. It's basically retire or fight Tom Aspinall."
