The much-awaited second match between Danielle Kelly and Jessa Khan for the inaugural ONE atomweight submission grappling world title happened in September 2023 at ONE Fight Night 14.

Kelly had a chip on her shoulder heading into the rematch with Khan because she received a loss in 2021 during their first battle at Who's Number One, which is why she made sure to get away with the victory and exact her revenge against the IBJJF world champion.

Highlights of this thrilling clash were reposted by ONE Championship on Instagram, and they captioned it saying:

"Ahead of Danielle Kelly's first defense of the ONE Women's Atomweight Submission Grappling World Title against Mayssa Bastos, relive her crowning moment against Jessa Khan 👑 @daniellekellybjj"

The 28-year-old American star threatened more submission attempts and was the more aggressive fighter throughout the match, which was enough to secure her the unanimous decision victory and become the first-ever atomweight submission grappling queen under the world's largest martial arts organization.

Furthermore, her fight plan to carry her former tormentor straight to her corner was praised by fans, as platform users @raymond_hunton_, @jigs.jigz, @vicobjj_wrestling, @rowlings78, and @_adrianarrieta_ commented:

"I loved the way she carried her opponent over to her corner, listened and did just what her coach told her to do! That shows she was thinking and not just fighting!!!!!!"
"Dani be like 🔥 absolute stunner"
"@daniellekellybjj is the best 🔥🔥"
"DK trying to pull a Fedor , love it"
