Nina-Marie Daniele reacts to Khamzat Chimaev's post-fight speech at UFC 294
Khamzat Chimaev returned to the octagon after more than a year to take on Kamaru Usman in a middleweight bout at UFC 294. While he was supposed to go up against Paulo Costa, the Brazilian had to pull out of the fight because of injury and Usman was called to step in on short notice.
As was expected going into the fight, Chimaev emerged victorious on the night and handed Usman his third straight loss, this time via a majority decision. After winning the fight, 'Borz' took the microphone to send out a powerful message.
During his post-fight interview, Kamzat Chiamaev lamented the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict, which has resulted in a great loss of lives, including that of women and children. 'Borz' delivered a powerful message asking the people of the world to come together despite their differences, and put a stop to such conflicts.
Reacting to the same on Twitter, Nina-Marie Daniele applauded Khamzat Chimaev for his message and said:
"A beautiful post-fight message by Khamzat Chimaev after defeating Kamaru Usman. You could hear in his voice the sadness of what is going on in the world. He has the fighting spirit of the Wolf and [the] heart of a Lion."
