“Sucks to suck” - Gordon Ryan goes off on Mikey Musumeci’s UFC Fight Pass debut performance 

Gordon Ryan was mat-side for Mikey Musumeci's UFC Fight Pass debut when he faced off against Felipe Machado, with 'The King' serving as a commentator for UFC Fight Pass Invitational 9.

Musumeci, who self-admittedly chases as many submissions as possible during his matches, did not secure the finish he was hoping for. Instead, the match against Machado went to overtime, with 'Darth Rigatoni' winning via points.

The former ONE Championship grappler has shared beef with Ryan for several years, with the pair holding opposing stances on the use of performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Following the conclusion of UFC Fight Pass Invitational 9 on Dec. 6, 'The King' took to his Instagram story to slam Musumeci's debut performance. The post was uploaded to X by @mmamania.

Ryan wrote this:

"[Public service announcement] - The fact I was able to call little Mike's f**k ups like 5 seconds before they happened just goes to show you that he was never as good as you guys thought. Sucks to suck."

Gordon Ryan opens up on the beginning of his beef with Mikey Musumeci

Gordon Ryan has previously shared immense praise for Mikey Musumeci, stating that the guard of 'Darth Rigatoni' was the most difficult to pass that Ryan had ever faced.

But the pair have not shared many kind words with one another over the past few years. Their feud has garnered much attention given the high-profile nature of both submission grapplers, who are considered pound-for-pound greats in the sport.

During Ryan's recent appearance on Jake Shields' podcast, he was asked to discuss his beef with Musumeci. 'The King' said this:

"Mikey just attacked me. All I've ever done is talk highly of Mikey. The thing about Mikey, is he's been doing passive aggressive shots at me forever... He'll make one post that's like, 'If you take steroids you're mentally weak. You're too weak. You need a crutch. You need an out. Blah, blah, blah.' Then his very next post will be like, 'I'm depressed and I'm sad and we need to talk about mental health.' It's like, bro just f**king do your thing."

He continued:

"He's definitely tough. He fights a tough guy here and there, but he's basically can-crushing it at ONE [Championship]... He's never done [ADCC]. He can say it's because the weight class doesn't fit him... But you're competing in Absolute Divisions in IBJJF."
