Even Superbon is enamored by Jo Nattawut's incredible ability to incorporate the Western style of kickboxing into his traditional Muay Thai base.

This unorthodox mix has made 'Smokin' Jo an enigma in the striking arts, considering it's hard to fully gauge what he's going to do, given his uniquely diverse skillset.

As Superbon prepares for his three-round featherweight Muay Thai barnburner against Nattawut in the curtain closer of ONE Friday Fights 81, he spoke with the promotion about his Thai compatriot's best quality:

“Jo can punch really well. Maybe it’s because he has trained in America for a long time. He’s used to fighting in an American boxing style," he said.

After paying his dues in Thailand's unforgiving Muay Thai circuit, Nattawut moved to the United States in 2013 and further honed his deadly striking.

Unlike most Muay Thai fighters who traditionally start slow, the 34-year-old pushes the pedal to the metal as soon as the bell rings.

The second-ranked featherweight Muay Thai contender is known for his punch-heavy attacks set up by a blistering first step.

It will certainly be interesting to see how a tactician like Superbon approaches this match against a fearless gunslinger like 'Smokin' Jo.

Superbon believes he has more tricks in the bag than Jo Nattawut

While Superbon is fascinated with Nattawut's different approach, he reckons the Thai Top Team product's attacks are still limited compared to his.

The Superbon Training Camp head confidently told ONE in the same interview:

“I have a lot of weapons, but Jo probably has just punches and kicks.”

For what it's worth, Superbon gave a glimpse of the carnage he can bring in his return to 'The Art of Eight Limbs' last year.

ONE Friday Fights 81: Superbon vs. Natawut will air live in Asian primetime via watch.onefc.com on Sept. 27 at Bangkok's iconic Lumpinee Stadium.
