Superbon is leaving no stone unturned as he prepares to run it back with Tawanchai PK Saenchai on Friday, January 24.

The two striking maestros will collide once again for the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world championship in a highly anticipated rematch at ONE 170, set to take place before a packed house at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

Reflecting on their first meeting in December 2023, Superbon identified key lapses that may have cost him the victory.

In a recent interview with ONE Championship, he acknowledged the tactical missteps that led to his majority decision loss and vowed to make the necessary adjustments:

“To be honest, the only thing that surprised me was the speed of Tawanchai’s kicks. He’s also great at pushing, using his feet to deter my combination, but that didn’t come from him directly, but from me who kept approaching him continuously, allowing him to do that easier.”

Their initial showdown was an intense duel from bell to bell, with Superbon utilizing sharp counter-striking and crisp boxing combinations to push the reigning champion to his limits. However, Tawanchai surged in the latter rounds, using pinpoint accuracy to disrupt his rival’s rhythm and land decisive blows.

In the end, it was Tawanchai’s precision that made the difference, allowing him to edge out a razor-thin decision and retain his crown.

Since that battle, Superbon has rebounded in spectacular fashion, capturing the ONE featherweight kickboxing world championship and authoring a dominant victory over “Smokin’” Jo Nattawut to book his shot at payback against Tawanchai.

Superbon eyes two-sport glory at ONE 170

Now, with fight night fast approaching, Superbon is on a mission to cement his legacy as a two-sport world champion.

Already in possession of the featherweight kickboxing belt, a win at ONE 170 would not only avenge his previous loss but also etch his name in history by adding the Muay Thai world title to his collection.

With the Thai megastar fueled by high stakes and unfinished business, this blockbuster rematch promises to deliver another electrifying spectacle in Bangkok.
