Anna ‘Supergirl’ Jaroonsak is ready to showcase her improvements at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video.
The last time 'Supergirl' fought, she extended her promotional record to 2-0 by defeating Ekaterina Vandaryeva in January 2022. Unfortunately, many people (including ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong), believe Vandaryeva clearly won the fight. Both fighters now have a chance to redeem themselves when they meet in a rematch on January 13.
During an interview with ONE, the Jaroonsak fighter had this to say about what she learned from her last fight:
“I should have better footwork. I’m too stand-still. And I have to break the habit of attacking once or twice. I should follow up my attacks and hit in combination, and be more precise and decisive.”

The 19-year-old Thai fighter hasn’t fought in a year, which brings up the discussion about potential ring rust. Nonetheless, she revealed her confidence by saying:
“Being away from the Circle may slightly affect my movement, but I am confident in my intensive training with my father and sparring with male partners to increase strength and power. I am 100 percent ready to rumble.”
The stakes are high for the 19-year-old at ONE Fight Night 6. Riding a three-fight win streak, Supergirl could make a case to challenge for the ONE strawweight Muay Thai world title currently held by fellow teenage sensation Smilla Sundell if she wins against Vandaryeva.
Supergirl reveals Ekaterina Vandaryeva’s primary weakness
Anna Jaroonsak and Ekaterina Vandaryeva had nine minutes of action to absorb the other’s tendencies. Going into ONE Fight Night 6, each fighter will look to capitalize on their opponent’s flaws.
During an interview with ONE Championship, the Jaroonsak fighter had this to say about Vandaryeva’s primary weakness:
“She’s strong and fast. I feel a little jealous when I look at her lean muscles. For weakness, she always shows signs of pain, so I have to read her well and capitalize on opportunities.”
Although the decision was controversial, it was surprising to see the backlash Supergirl received after beating Vandaryeva. The 19-year-old had to overcome criticism, including people from Thailand not having her back. Luckily, she gets the opportunity to flip the script and silence the doubters.
