ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 is primed and ready to defend his belt in Singapore this Friday.
After beating promotional newcomer Daniel Puertas for the strap earlier this year, Superlek Kiatmoo9 went straight back to work to defend his throne.
Just over two months after winning his belt, the Buriram native was set to defend it against another world champion, ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon. Due to unfortunate circumstances, however, Rodtang had to pull out during fight week and has been replaced by Australian firebrand Danial Williams.

Still, Superlek is determined to put on a show at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Friday, regardless of who is put in front of him. In a recent Instagram photo shared by the world champion himself, we saw him at an airport with his team ready to fly out to the Lion City.
Here's the post:
"See you Singapore 🇹🇭🇸🇬 It's time to go to the airport ⚡️✈️🙏⚡️Have a good day guys⚡️🙏✈️"
Superlek Kiatmoo9 is looking calm and collected ahead of his ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship defense. Not an ounce of nerve can be seen in his eyes, despite the late opponent-change.
This can only mean one thing: he's confident that he's done the work to face and beat any world-class fighter across the circle from him.

Rodtang out of Superlek Kiatmoo9 world title fight, gets replaced by Danial Williams
ONE Fight Night 8 experienced some major reshuffling just days before taking place this Friday, March 24. Original headliner Rodtang Jitmuangnon was supposed to face Superlek Kiatmoo9 for the latter's flyweight kickboxing belt.
The fight was supposed to be Rodtang's attempt at becoming a two-sport world champion in ONE Championship. Ultimately, it was not to be after 'The Iron Man' got injured just days before the event.
ONE Championship announced Rodtang was ‘out due to injury’:
"With Rodtang out due to injury, 'Mini T' Danial Williams steps in on short notice to face Superlek for the ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Title in the main event of ONE Fight Night 8 💥🥊 @dmini_t @superlek789"
Danial 'Mini T' Williams has had quite a busy 2022. He fought a total of four times with three straight wins over Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke, Namiki Kawahara, and Zelang Zhaxi.
His upcoming bout for the ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship with Superlek will be Williams' first foray back into the striking realm of ONE Championship.
The last time the Aussie striker was in an all-striking bout was when he went the distance in a Fight of the Year war against Rodtang Jitmuangnon back in 2021.
