Reigning ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 is proud of what he has accomplished in his fighting career so far but recognizes he would not be in such a position if not for the help of others who he has encountered along the way.
Among those he is thankful to is former ONE flyweight Muay Thai king Sam-A Gaiyanghadao. 'The Kicking Machine' shared that he learned a lot from his fellow Thai fighter on how to be diligent in everything he does.
Superlek told ONE Championship:
“I [learned] a lot from Sam-A, too. He is a very diligent person. And the way he works hard automatically pushes me to follow him. I learned a lot from sparring with him. He gave me advice to use my shin effectively like his. Their teachings are very good. Now it depends on me, how well I can apply it in the real situation.”

Superlek will be tested once again but this time as the champion as he makes his first title defense on March 24 at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
'The Kicking Machine' will take on late-replacement challenger Danial Williams of Australia in the main event of ONE Championship’s third Amazon show of the year.
Superlek became champion back in January when he defeated Spain’s Daniel Puertas via unanimous decision to claim the vacant ONE flyweight kickboxing world title.
Danial Williams, meanwhile, will be stepping in for the injured Rodtang Jitmuangnon in the title clash. He is looking to make it a short reign for the current champion while also advancing his push to become a decorated fighter in the promotion.
All ONE Fight Night events are broadcast live and for free to North American fans with an active Prime Video subscription.
Superlek grateful for ONE Championship’s surprise for him at press conference
ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 had added inspiration in his last fight as he was able to reconnect with his estranged father.
'The Kicking Machine' got a welcome surprise as ONE Championship arranged for his dad to be present at the press conference for ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video back in January. His father also saw him fight for the very first time.
Superlek was thankful to ONE for the wonderful gesture, which he said only motivated him more to go out and get the win.
He shared with the promotion in an interview:
“Honestly, I was surprised when he appeared at the press conference, because I expected him to only show up on fight day. But ONE’s staff surprised me early. I was very happy that my dad had a chance to watch me fight. My goal was to claim the gold as a present to my family, my fans, and all Thai people. And, I made it happen.”
At ONE Fight Night 6, Superlek went on to claim the vacant ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion after defeating Spain’s Daniel Puertas by unanimous decision.
'The Kicking Machine' is to make his first title defense on March 24 at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video in Singapore. He will stake it against Thai-Australian Danial Williams.
The contest will serve as the main offering of the event, which will be co-headlined by the unification bout between ONE atomweight Muay Thai world champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues and interim champion Janet Todd.
