Superlek Kiatmoo9 recognizes strong fighters when he sees one, and he was very happy to see his old foe, Takeru Segawa, recovering from his injuries after they fought earlier this year.

He even returned the praise given by the Japanese superstar ahead of his crucial world title fight against ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing king Jonathan Haggerty at ONE 168: Denver this weekend, Sept. 6.

'The Kicking Machine' spoke to the South China Morning Post about how he feels toward Takeru and his recovery progress. He also hinted at a rematch between them if time and conditions allow.

Superlek said:

"I believe that when the time is right, we will get a rematch where we will face each other again."

He added:

"And I'm so thankful that he said he doesn't want me to lose. That means so much. That's so kind of him."

Indeed, fans will definitely tune in when they face each other for the second time. But for now, Superlek will try to conquer a tough challenge in Haggerty in the main event inside the Ball Arena.

Superlek has a chance to make history if he defeats Jonathan Haggerty

Since his professional debut four years ago, Superlek Kiatmoo9 has yet to lose in Muay Thai competitions.

As one of the finest athletes in ONE Championship, this accomplishment is a massive feat considering all top-level strikers in the promotion are very deadly and experienced.

This includes Tagir Khalilov, Nabil Anane, and the current ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

Moreover, it was added with his successful foray in kickboxing, where he defeated Daniel Puertas for the flyweight belt before he defeated K-1 striking legend Takeru Segawa to defend his strap.

Now, can he put his name in the history books and become a two-sport world champion, or will Jonathan Haggerty be able to defend his position as the two-sport ONE world champion?
