Reigning ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 scored what could be the biggest win of his career when he beat fellow megastar Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a massive Muay Thai super fight last year.
Superlek earned a unanimous decision win over the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion in a catchweight match at ONE Friday Fights 34 in Sept. 2023. While the matchup was the true definition of a back-and-forth, Superlek found his reprieve when he knocked Rodtang down in the final minute of the second round.
In an interview with ONE Championship, Superlek denounced all claims that Rodtang slipped and that the knockdown was as good as any.

He said:
"Was this a knockdown? It's hard to say. Some agree, some disagree. If you ask me, I think it was a knockdown. I caught him with that elbow. When Rodtang fell, some said he slipped, but I was watching him closely and I really think it was a knockdown."
Superlek had Rodtang trapped near the ropes in the last minute of the middle round when he unleashed a short elbow that stumbled 'The Iron Man'. While some fans still debate to this day whether Rodtang slipped or not, the referee scored it as a knockdown.
That pivotal moment eventually made a huge impact on the scorecards for Superlek's unanimous decision win.
Superlek challenges Jonathan Haggerty for the bantamweight Muay Thai throne
While his rivalry with Rodtang Jitmuangnon is just starting, Superlek has another matter at hand.
The ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion will challenge Jonathan Haggerty for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title at ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6 at Ball Arena.
This will be Superlek's second fight against Haggerty after he beat 'The General' outside of ONE Championship at Yokkao in 2018.
