Superlek shows a fun display of his kicking prowess in the gym

ONE striking star Superlek Kiatmoo9 is showing off his kicking prowess ahead of his upcoming world title bout at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video.

The champ was originally scheduled to face flyweight Muay Thai king Rodtang Jitmuangnon, but an undisclosed injury forced 'The Iron Man' out of the bout.

Superlek will now face a late replacement in Australia's Danial Williams, who was slated to face Portugal's Rui Botelho at ONE Fight Night 8. 'Mini T' is coming off of a TKO loss to Jeremy Miado last October.

Superlek says he learned a lot from ‘very diligent’ Sam-A Gaiyanghadao

The Thai striker has been working alongside former ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao. He told the promotion that he has learned a lot from his Thai counterpart, saying:

“I [learned] a lot from Sam-A, too. He is a very diligent person. And the way he works hard automatically pushes me to follow him. I learned a lot from sparring with him. He gave me advice to use my shin effectively like his. Their teachings are very good. Now it depends on me, how well I can apply it in the real situation.”

The 27-year-old is riding a four-fight win streak into his upcoming title defense, beating Taiki Naito, Walter Goncalves, Panpayak Jitmuangnon, and most recently, Daniel Puertas to attain the vacant flyweight kickboxing world title.

Meanwhile, Danial Williams managed to pick up three victories in 2022, scoring wins over Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke, Namiki Kawahara, and Zelang Zhaxi. The biggest opportunity of his career will take place at ONE Fight Night 8.
