Superlek Kiatmoo9 once again showed why he was one of the most feared strikers in all of combat sports at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video.

‘The Kicking Machine’ scored a third-round knockout in his main event clash against Danial Williams on Friday night to retain his ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship.

Following his victory inside the Circle, Superlek showed his love and appreciation for everyone that helped make it happen in a heartfelt Instagram post.

“I am defending the World Champion ONE Kickboxing Flyweight for the first time. 🏆🥇

"Thank you Big Boss Chatri Onechampionship @yodchatri @onechampionship very much for giving me the opportunity all the time. Thank you for giving 50,000 dollar bonus (over 1.7 million baht) in this fight and thank you for making me and my family a better life. Thank you from my heart. 🥺🙏🏻♥️”

'The Kicking Machine' continued, saying:

“Thank you everyone behind my success. Thank you to all the team that pushed. Supported from the beginning until the day I succeeded again today. Thank you for all the encouragement from all boxing fans who gave me the strength to fight. Thank you ♥️🙏🏻”

The victory would go down as his 133rd career victory and his ninth under the ONE Championship banner after signing with the promotion in 2018.

Superlek appreciates Danial Williams for stepping up on short notice

While Superlek Kiatmoo9 showed appreciation for his team and employer on Instagram, ‘The Kicking Machine’ made sure to thank his ONE Fight Night 8 opponent Danial Williams for stepping up on such short notice.

“I would like to thank him for accepting this fight last minute, I would like to say that he's a very strong fighter,” Superlek said in a post-fight interview. “I respect his heart. I respect his courage. I have nothing to say except thank you very much.”

With his first ONE world title defense in the books, ‘The Kicking Machine’ is eyeing a fight with his original ONE Fight Night 8 opponent, Rodtang Jitmuangnon. ‘The Iron Man’ is slated to defend his ONE flyweight Muay Thai world championship against Mexico’s Edgar Tabares on May 5 at ONE Fight Night 10. Should he walk out of the 1stBank Center in Colorado with his 26 pounds of ONE gold intact, Superlek could be the next man he meets inside the Circle.

ONE Fight Night 10 is ONE Championship’s first on-site US card. The event will be broadcast live and for free to North American television via Prime Video.
