Superlek thrilled to finally give fans the fight they want

After a long wait, 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 will finally meet 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon. These two ace strikers are booked to battle for the ONE flyweight kickboxing world title later this month.

'The Iron Man' will look to make history by adding a kickboxing world title to his ONE flyweight Muay Thai world championship. Standing in his way is the highly dangerous 'The Kicking Machine' who will refuse to give up his throne.

The 27-year-old kickboxing world champion knows that fans can hardly wait to see him in the ONE circle against the flyweight Muay Thai king. While speaking in an interview with ONE Championship, Superlek explained:

"Most fans want to see me fight Rodtang. And I’ve thought about it for a long time. Sooner or later, we would clash against each other, especially since I’ve joined ONE and we fight in the same division. Both of us want to be the best. And, our path led to the same goal. So, it was inevitable that I’d face Rodtang one day."

The two expert strikers will battle for ONE gold on March 24 on ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video. All ONE Fight Night events are broadcast live and for free in North America via Prime Video.

Superlek is confident against Rodtang

'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 knows his skillset and is not intimated by 'The Iron Man.' Most opponents fear Rodtang before they even step into the circle against the furious puncher. Not the 27-year-old flyweight kickboxing king though.

While speaking to ONE Championship in an interview, 'The Kicking Machine' explained his advantages.

“I believe my kicks are better than his in kickboxing. First, I’m a little taller than him. Second, I think my leg movement is better than his in terms of speed. Every fighter has their own way of stepping. And I see Rodtang step clearly, like how he will punch and follow with a kick. So, I can predict his patterns clearly. Rodtang may hit hard, but he is slower than me. This should be my advantage.”

Fans are eager to see Superlek and Rodtang battle in the ONE circle. Their wait has finally ended, with both athletes facing off on March 24 headlining ONE Fight Night 8 with kickboxing gold on the line.
