Superlek Kiatmoo9 is gearing up for his flyweight kickboxing world title bout at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video and he's overflowing with confidence.
The 27-year-old ONE veteran is set to take on Spain's Daniel Puertas for the vacant strap. Puertas is just 1-1 inside the circle, compared to Superlek's 7-1 record under ONE's banner.
With the experience edge leaning heavily in the Thai striker's favor, Superlek is feeling very confident heading into the contest. He told ONE Championship:
"Personally, I think he is not a big deal for me, but I won’t be careless. I will try my best to treat the fans with an exciting match. And I hope to get my second KO in ONE."

The flyweight kickboxing contender is currently riding a three-fight winning streak, which includes a devastating knockout (elbow) victory over Walter Goncalves at ONE Fight Night 1 last August.
Superlek not worried about sudden opponent change
Originally scheduled to face former champ Ilias Ennahachi, the No. 2-ranked flyweight kickboxing contender now faces the No.5-ranked Daniel Puertas after Ennahachi vacated his belt due to failing to make the weight limit.
'The Kicking Machine' is unfazed about the sudden change in his opponent, even telling the promotion:
“It’s not a problem at all. I started the fight camp shortly after my last fight. I had about one month of preparation. And I’ve prepared myself for both offensive and defensive games. So, I think I can switch my style and adapt effectively in the circle, despite this change of opponent.”
Not only is the Thai striker comfortable with the opponent change, but he sees Puertas as a far easier matchup than Ennahachi. He told the promotion:
"Daniel Puertas is an aggressive fighter who loves to walk toward his foe, while Ilias’ style is hit-and-move. I think it is easier to fight with Daniel than Ilias because I can choose what I should hit and I can read his movement easier."
Make sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 6 on January 13 to watch 'The Kicking Machine' gun for the vacant flyweight kickboxing world title against Daniel Puertas.
