While Superlek Kiatmoo9 was happy to get a quick finish against Jonathan Haggerty in 'The Mile High City', he was hoping for a little more action before landing the knockout blow.
Last month, 'The Kicking Machine' stepped into the main event spotlight for a high-stakes clash with Haggerty at ONE 168: Denver. Everyone expected to see the two world-class strikers go toe-to-toe win a brutal brawl that would showcase their skills in the 'art of eight limbs'.
Instead, things came to a crashing halt less than 60 seconds into the scrap when the Thai landed a sneaky inside elbow that dropped Haggerty and ended the fight in spectacular fashion.

Reflecting on the knockout blow, 'The Kicking Machine' had admittedly hoped for a bit more action before putting away Haggerty on martial arts' biggest global stage:
"The finishing elbow wasn't my plan, but the match ended after that," he said in an interview with Yokkao. "I'm happy, of course. But part of me wanted more. I didn't think it would've been over so quickly."

What's next for Superlek following ONE 168?
With the win, Superlek is now a two-sport ONE world champion, adding the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship to a collection that already included the ONE flyweight kickboxing crown.
As for what comes next, there is no shortage of options for 'The Kicking Machine'.
A potential rematch with Japanese kickboxing legend Takeru Segawa or a bantamweight Muay Thai title clash against second-ranked contender Nico Carrillo appear to be top options. However, the one fight that seems to be on everyone's mind is a sequel scrap with 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
Superlek scored a big unanimous decision win over Rodtang in September 2023—a fight considered by many to be the greatest Muay Thai contest of the last 50 years. Fans have been chomping at the bit to see the two run it back ever since.
Is Superlek vs. Rodtang 2 the fight to make following ONE 168?
