Sydney Sweeney hit back at body-shamers in response to the various derogatory remarks they made about her. This comes in the wake of some photos of Sweeney reportedly being clicked and circulated online without her consent, amid her work on the much-discussed biopic about boxing great Christy Martin.
Earlier this year, some photographs of Sweeney elicited speculation that she'd bulked up for a movie role, which was believed to be for the Martin biopic. Sweeney later took to Instagram and suggested that a few photographs of her sporting her look for the film had been leaked and so, so she confirmed that she was indeed working on the biopic. She even shared a few behind-the-scenes photos.
That was back in October 2024. Earlier this month, a few paparazzi-clicked photographs of Sydney Sweeney -- believed to have been clicked without her consent while she was at her house -- have created a stir online. Some of the photographs were deemed NSFW and have garnered considerable attention on social media platforms such as X.

Sydney Sweeney's supporters have maintained that her having gained weight to portray the role of legendary American boxer, ex-WBC super welterweight champion Christy Martin, is a testament to the actress' commitment to her craft. The biopic will be directed by David Michod.

Sydney Sweeney featured in a Conor McGregor UFC meme in 2024
Earlier this year, combat sports megastar Conor McGregor was booked to end his three-year MMA hiatus by returning against Michael Chandler in a welterweight bout at UFC 303 (June 2024). Prior to his comeback, McGregor responded to a meme video featuring Sydney Sweeney's character 'Cassie,' from the series 'Euphoria.'
In episode number 7 from 'Euphoria' Season 2, Sweeney's character was seen shedding tears in the washroom. The video footage from that scene was meshed with audio of a person voicing some of the iconic one-liners that McGregor has used over the years.
The joke was that most fight fans would be mimicking McGregor in the shower all through the build-up to his comeback at UFC 303, and their partners would have to endure the same. McGregor responded to it on X with a laughing emoticon.
Eventually, a toe injury forced the former two-division UFC champion out of the Chandler matchup. The Irishman has lately been linked to potential exhibition boxing matches against Logan Paul and Jake Paul.
