T.J. Dillashaw recently weighed in on Arman Tsarukyan's withdrawal from his lightweight title fight against Islam Makhachev at UFC 311 last Saturday. He noted that there could be ramifications for the Armenian and believes that he could have possibly put his title aspirations in jeopardy.

Tsarukyan suffered a back injury and was forced to withdraw on the day of the weigh-ins as he determined that he was unable to compete. Renato Moicano replaced him in the main event as a result and challenged Makhachev instead.

Following the event, UFC CEO Dana White was asked about what could be next for the No.1-ranked lightweight and responded by saying he won't be awarded a title shot when he returns.

During JAXXON PODCAST's UFC 311 recap, the former bantamweight champion, who is no stranger to competing with an injury, shared his thoughts on the Armenian withdrawing from his lightweight title fight against Makhachev. Dillashaw mentioned that he believes Tsarukyan made a mistake and should have withdrawn earlier than he did:

"He messed up...Now by not taking the fight, like, you're not the champion. You can't just pull out from the fight. Now you're not getting a title fight, Dana White said it...Your back hurts. Yeah, it sucks, take the fu**ing fight...I fought so many times injured...Okay, if you're gonna pull out, he's obviously known about this injury for a long fu**ing time. If you're pulling out the day of weigh-ins, that fu*ks everything up for the UFC."

Arman Tsarukyan addresses Dana White's comments about his next fight

In addition to T.J. Dillashaw weighing in on the situation, Arman Tsarukyan also addressed Dana White's comments and appears to be willing to prove himself again.

During his latest appearance on JAXXON PODCAST, Tsarukyan mentioned that he believes he is the top lightweight in the world and would be willing to prove that in a rematch against Charles Oliveira if it means he'll earn a title shot:

"When the boss say, 'Okay, you gotta fight like, three or four times', like, I don't know how much they want me to fight to be the number-one contender again. But, I know I'm the best in this division and if it's [Charles] Oliveira, this fight makes sense because I beat him. How [can] he be a contender? I beat him. If [UFC] wanna do this fight again, yeah, I'm down."
