UFC title challenger Belal Muhammad wants a swimming rematch after his MMA rematch

One of the comments on the post was from Belal Muhammad, who commented with a cry-laughing emoji and playfully asked for a swimming rematch after the fight. The fight in question will see Muhammad vie for the welterweight championship in a high-stakes rematch.

Following this swimming competition, he's now diving into the proverbial deep end of the pool as he clashes for a second time against Leon Edwards with the 170-pound title on the line this time. UFC 304 is when these two men will run it back and it transpires on July 27 in Manchester, England. Muhammad has gone on a five-fight winning streak since the first Edwards fight, which ended inauspiciously.

The 36-year-old first clashed with 'Rocky' Edwards in a March 2021 UFC Fight Night headliner. An errant, unintentional eye poke early on in the second round derailed the action with Muhammad writhing on the ground in agony after being poked in the eye.

'Remember the Name' would not be able to continue and his clash with Edwards would be ruled a no contest.

The Illinois native has been out of competition for over 14 months with some MMA fans beginning to wonder if Muhammad would get to be the next UFC title challenger in that weight category at all. The partisan favorite will undoubtedly be Edwards, as the UK native defends his strap, but there is a lot of intrigue surrounding this headlining PPV clash at month's end.
