Takuma Inoue vs. Seiya Tsutsumi capped off a stellar evening of boxing for Japanese fans, who were treated to a WBA bantamweight title fight in the main event. The clash took place at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

Alongside their exciting main event clash, there were several eye-catching bouts on the undercard, three of which were contested for world championships.

The main event of the evening saw Inoue looking to defend his WBA bantamweight title against Tsutsumi, who was eager to become a world champion for the first time.

The bout was immensely competitive, with the title challenger just edging his way through the first nine rounds. A knockdown scored for Tsutsumi in Round 10 added major pressure to Inoue's hopes of retaining his title.

The co-main event of the evening saw Kenshiro Teraji and Cristofer Rosales clash for the vacant WBC flyweight world title. Pound-for-pound great Canelo Alvarez was in attendance for the clash, with his trainer Eddie Reynoso also working with Rosales.

Teraji dominated much of the fight as he controlled the pace of the exchanges and landed more powerful punches. The accumulation of damage around his orbital area saw the ring-side doctor step in and stop the fight during round eleven.

The WBA flyweight title was on the line when Seigo Yuri Akui faced off against Thananchai Charunphak in the third fight of the undercard. The bout was a competitive affair, as Akui walked away victorious, with the judges awarding him a unanimous decision victory.

The first title fight of the evening, which came during the undercard's second bout, saw Shokichi Iwata face Jairo Noriega for the vacant WBO light flyweight title.

After a thudding uppercut knocked down Noriega late in Round 3, the 28-year-old landed a sharp left hook at the bell that knocked his opponent out cold, who became a world champion for the first time.
